About This Snooker Scoreboard

This free online snooker scoreboard tracks two-player matches with full break building, frame counting, foul handling, and snooker math. It enforces standard snooker rules — alternating reds and colours in the reds phase, then the six colours in sequence. Use it courtside, in a club, or at home to keep an accurate running score.

How to Use the Snooker Scoreboard

  1. Set the match format (Best of 7, 9, etc.) at the top.
  2. Enter player names by clicking on "Player 1" and "Player 2".
  3. Tap the ball buttons as each ball is potted. The break builds automatically.
  4. Tap Miss / End Break when the active player misses. The turn switches.
  5. Tap Foul and select the ball fouled on. Opponent gets minimum 4 points.
  6. Use Undo to remove the last ball if you tap by mistake.
  7. Tap End Frame when the frame is over. Scores are recorded in frame history.

Frequently Asked Questions

A maximum break (147) is scored by potting all 15 reds each followed by the black (15×8=120), then all six colours in sequence (2+3+4+5+6+7=27), totalling 147 points without missing.

When a player trails by more points than remain on the table, they need their opponent to foul (concede a snooker) to have a chance of winning. Each snooker foul is worth a minimum of 4 points. The scoreboard calculates how many snookers are needed automatically.

A foul occurs when a player hits the wrong ball first, pots a wrong ball, fails to hit any ball, or causes the cue ball to go off the table. The opponent receives the value of the ball fouled on or 4 points, whichever is greater.

A match is played as Best of N frames. The first player to win the majority of frames wins. For example, in a Best of 7, the first player to win 4 frames wins the match. Professional tournaments use Best of 25 or 35 frames for finals.
