This Privacy Policy explains how Brackly – Tournament & Bracket Maker (“Brackly,” “the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our iPhone or iPad application.

By using Brackly, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information You Provide

Account Information

Brackly allows users to create an account or sign in using supported authentication methods, including:

  • Sign in with Apple
  • Google Sign-In
  • Email

Depending on the sign-in method you choose, we may receive information such as:

We use this information to create and manage your Brackly account and allow you to access your tournaments across supported devices.

When you create or participate in tournaments, you may provide information including:

  • Tournament results
  • Jersey numbers
  • Shirt colors
  • Player photos
  • Other tournament-related information you choose to enter

This information is used to provide the tournament-management features of Brackly.

3. Player Photos

Brackly may allow you to add custom photos to player profiles.

Photos are accessed only when you choose to select or upload them for use within the App.

You should only upload photos that you have permission to use.

4. Public and Private Tournaments

Brackly allows tournaments to be configured as public or private.

Private Tournaments

Information associated with a private tournament is intended to be available only through the applicable private tournament experience.

Public Tournaments

If you choose to make a tournament public, information associated with that tournament may become visible to other Brackly users through features such as Discover.

Publicly visible information may include:

  • Tournament name
  • Player or team names
  • Brackets
  • Match results
  • Scores
  • Standings
  • Tournament status
  • Other information included in the public tournament

Do not include sensitive or confidential personal information in a tournament that you make public.

5. How We Use Information

Information processed through Brackly may be used to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Create and manage tournaments
  • Generate tournament brackets
  • Manage seeding and byes
  • Calculate standings
  • Advance winners through tournament brackets
  • Display upcoming matches
  • Save player and team information
  • Synchronize tournament information across supported devices
  • Provide public tournament and Discover features when selected by the user
  • Maintain and operate the App
  • Protect the App from abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access

We do not use information for purposes unrelated to operating Brackly unless we first provide appropriate notice or obtain consent where required.

6. Authentication Services

Brackly may use third-party authentication services.

Sign in with Apple

If you use Sign in with Apple, authentication is handled through Apple. Information provided to Brackly depends on the choices available through your Apple account.

Google Sign-In

If you use Google Sign-In, Google may provide Brackly with information necessary to authenticate your account, such as your account identifier, name, or email address.

These services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

7. Sharing of Information

We may share information only when necessary to operate features requested by you, such as authentication or synchronization.

Information may also be disclosed when:

  • You intentionally make tournament information public
  • It is necessary to provide a feature you requested
  • It is necessary to protect the security or integrity of Brackly
  • Disclosure is required by applicable legal obligations

Brackly does not make private tournaments public unless you choose to change their visibility.

8. Data Storage

Tournament and account information may be stored so that you can access your account and tournaments across supported devices.

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App's services, maintain legitimate operational requirements, or comply with applicable obligations.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Brackly account and associated personal information.

Where account deletion is available directly within the App, you can initiate deletion through the applicable account or settings section.

When an account is deleted, information associated with the account will be removed except where limited retention is necessary for legitimate technical, security, fraud-prevention, or legal requirements.

Information that you previously made publicly available may remain temporarily accessible while deletion or synchronization processes are completed.

10. Children's Privacy

Brackly is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable requirements.

Tournament organizers should avoid entering personal information about minors unless they have the appropriate authority or permission to do so.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Brackly.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

12. Your Choices

Depending on the features available in Brackly, you may be able to:

  • Edit tournament information
  • Change tournament visibility
  • Edit player information
  • Remove player photos
  • Correct match results
  • Delete tournaments
  • Update account information
  • Request deletion of your account

13. Third-Party Services

Brackly may rely on third-party services to provide authentication, hosting, synchronization, crash reporting, analytics, or other technical functionality.

Before publishing this Privacy Policy, the developer must list any third-party services actually used by Brackly and accurately describe the data those services collect or process.

Do not state that Brackly uses advertising, analytics, tracking, crash-reporting, or other SDKs unless those services are actually included in the App.

14. International Processing

Depending on the infrastructure and service providers used to operate Brackly, information may be processed or stored in countries different from the country where you live.

Any such processing should be handled according to the privacy and data-protection requirements applicable to the service.
